What should I expect from my tour?
You’ll experience:
- A campus welcome in our Brackenridge Hall Auditorium
- 60-75 minute walking tour
- A lot of the tour takes place outdoors, we recommend comfortable walking shoes and dressing accordingly for the weather
- A focus on Student Life services on campus, including a sneak peek into a first-year student residence hall
- A broad overview of TWU and campus highlights
The option to see more of our academic areas and buildings on campus is available at the end of the tour.
Appointments with admissions counselors are separate from the tour and should be scheduled in advance. Limited walk-in availability may be offered on the day of your visit.
For meetings with academic departments, campus offices, or student services, please contact those areas directly to arrange a visit.
Where do I check in for my tour?
Tour check-in is located at the Welcome Center @ Brackenridge Hall, 2nd floor Information Desk.
We recommended arriving and checking in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
If entering by the Campus Store: go up one more floor!

Are accessibility accommodations provided?
Accommodations are provided by request. If you need assistance, contact us at campusvisit@twu.edu or 940-898-3188 at least three (3) business days before your visit so we can best prepare and make your visit a memorable one.
Is parking provided for students and guests taking tours?
Yes, parking is provided for your visit. Parking is available in our Main Visitor's Lot near Brackenridge Hall.
You may also park in any ParkMobile visitor's lot, including the visitor spaces in the Parking Garage.
After registering for a campus tour, you will receive a code for free parking using the ParkMobile app in our visitor spaces shortly before the tour. Learn more about ParkMobile and how to use the app here.
Areas to avoid include: spaces marked “Reserved” or for “State Vehicles Only”; ADA spaces (without required permit/placard), fire lanes, and construction zones.
Can I take a self-guided tour?
Yes! We invite you to visit campus anytime at your leisure for a self-guided tour. Explore campus using one of our interactive tour maps or drop by the Welcome Center on a weekday for a printed campus map.

Viewing inside the residence halls is not available during a self-guided tour.
What if there is bad weather on the day of my tour?
Tours take place during all kinds of weather, including rain. Please be aware of weather conditions and dress accordingly.
Modifications or cancellations of tours will be made based on the severity of weather conditions. If your tour is cancelled, a team member will reach out to those who registered to let you know.
